A new housing development steeped in World War Two history has been completed by Homes for the South West member LiveWest, in partnership with construction company, United, and South Gloucestershire Council.

Bath-based Curo has announced it will work with fellow Homes for the South West members, Alliance Homes and Magna Housing, to help speed up delivery of new homes in the region through its Strategic Partnership with Homes England. The funding arrangement was secured jointly with Swan Housing Association last year.

Housing has a vital role to play in the economic and social recovery from COVID-19 and levelling up in the South West. Ahead of the Comprehensive Spending Review, Homes for the South West have submitted a representation asking the government to:
- Increase grant funding for affordable housing to accelerate housing delivery across the south west in response to COVID-19.
- Review the public land disposal strategy to prioritise release of more land for public housing.
- Re-designate public housing as infrastructure investment to capitalise on low rates of borrowing.
Curo acquires Bristol site to deliver 32 new affordable homes
Bath-based housing association Curo will deliver 32 affordable homes at Midland Road in Bristol, after acquiring a new site in a package deal with developer Autograph Partnerships.

The ultra energy efficient homes were built by Homes for the South West member, Curo, at their 700-home development in Bath, Mulberry Park, and have been let at social rent to local families in housing need.
