Homes for the South West member Plymouth Community Homes are celebrating the completion of a ground-breaking development of 72 new affordable homes, which are so eco-friendly they need virtually no heating.
The 72 ‘Passivhaus’ homes have been built by our construction partners Mi-space at Primrose Park in Whitleigh. The development provides 49 homes for affordable rent and 23 for shared ownership through PCH’s regeneration company, SO Living.
Homes for the South West member Curo is nearing completion of its 100% affordable housing scheme at Whitehall Road in Bristol, on the land of the derelict White Hart Hotel.
The 14 new affordable homes are due for completion in November this year, making Curo’s Whitehall scheme the first to be delivered with grant from Bristol City Council’s £57million Affordable Housing funding budget.

Homes for the South West members LiveWest and Sovereign have joined forces with Homes England in a new strategic partnership to build even more affordable housing across the south west region.
E G Carter & Co Ltd, LiveWest, Sedgemoor District Council and their partners, joined forces to host a ground-breaking event, marking the commencement of LiveWest’s first land led scheme which will see 20 new affordable homes being built in Rhode Lane, Bridgwater.
It has been two years since Homes for the South West member, Curo started construction at Mulberry Park, its flagship development of 700 new homes and community facilities in Bath. In that time, the site has been transformed from fenced off former MOD land to growing community.
More affordable homes for local people have been delivered as part of Homes for Cornwall, an initiative between Homes for the South West member, LiveWest, Cornwall Council, and Galliford Try Partnerships.
