Affordable homes for rent coming to Liskeard this Christmas
Homes for the South West member Plymouth Community Homes (PCH) is developing more than 32 homes for affordable rent in Liskeard – its first scheme in Cornwall.
The housing association will also have seven homes for shared ownership sale through SO Living.
The 39 homes are at Persimmon Homes’ Trevethan Meadows development and have been bought as part of a Section 106 agreement.
This means PCH will offer the rented homes to people with connections to the Liskeard area.
The first 13 homes are due for completion in mid-December and will be ready for occupation by January. The remaining 26 will be ready by next summer.
The homes are a mix of two and three-bed homes, with two classed as Lifetime Homes, which means they are easily adaptable as needs change. Two of the shared ownership homes are four-bed.
Bob Fish, PCH Development Manager, said: “Our roots are in Plymouth but it’s great that other planning authorities and builders see us as a partner in delivering new homes, wherever that may be.”
The homes will be advertised on Cornwall Home Choice within the next few weeks.
The affordable rented properties are only available to people who meet certain eligibility criteria.
